About Harold

Harold is an experienced leader with a passion for helping businesses unlock their potential and achieve sustainable growth. With over three decades of experience spanning private equity, banking, and retail in Europe and the US, he has a proven track record of driving expansion, delivering successful exits, and guiding companies through transformational change.

His career includes a significant tenure at 3i Group plc, where he led acquisitions, IPOs, and AIM listings. He then co-founded Eclipse Investment Partners, overseeing numerous private equity transactions.

A pivotal moment in his career came when he led an investment round into Harding Brothers, a Bristol-based family business operating gift shops and spas aboard cruise ships. He then transitioned from investor to Managing Director, leading the company through explosive growth over 13 years until a successful trade exit. During this time, Harold pioneered data-led decision making, was named a “Legend” by Duty Free News, and expanded the business with offices in Miami, Sydney, and Piraeus. Following the exit, he was appointed CEO Europe for the acquiring company.

Beyond his time at Harding’s, Harold has held a CEO role at Flemingo Europe. Today, he remains an active private investor, collaborating with dynamic businesses to help them scale and thrive.
