Director of Client Experience
She was broadcast across the world to welcome in the year 2000!
Wellington – it will always be home for her.
Gayatri’s professional journey began with a deep fascination for human behaviour, leading her to study criminal profiling. It was while she was also running a bustling hospitality group that the pieces truly fell into place. She realised that understanding people was the key to more than just investigations—it was the very foundation for building genuine customer connections and driving business success. This insight sparked her passion for client experience and community building, which she has dedicated her career to ever since.
With over 15 years of experience in digital marketing, client experience, and community building, Gayatri is a highly accomplished and strategic director dedicated to crafting exceptional client journeys. Her unique background, rooted in a deep understanding of human behaviour, allows her to cultivate lasting relationships and foster genuine community. Passionate about integrating data-driven insights and digital transformation, she has a proven track record of enhancing customer satisfaction, maximising lifetime value, and helping businesses scale their operations to achieve significant revenue milestones.
Beyond her hands-on work, Gayatri is an experienced international facilitator and advisor, having been contracted to provide high-impact educational content for major companies like Sage and UNICEF, helping them effectively engage their databases and revolutionise how they operate online.
Gayatri is inspired by her Mum and her Nana. Her Mum’s story is one of incredible courage, from running away from an arranged marriage in India to build a new life in New Zealand, to being appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her work in financial literacy and interfaith relations. She always excelled in her career, achieving many firsts for Indian women, all while being an incredible mother who can fix anything with a great curry.
Her Nana is an inspiration for her incredible strength. She was widowed young, raised three children on her own, and has beaten cancer multiple times. She always tried something new, – even learning to use a computer at 80 to write her memoirs. Most of all, she is remembered for her open door policy, listening ear, and a warm smile for anyone that needed it.
