Next summer, the world comes to the Carolinas. And Factotum will be part of the team making it happen.
We’ve been appointed back-office service delivery partner for the 2027 Military World Games. It’s a major milestone in our U.S. expansion, and a clear sign of our commitment to Charlotte, where our U.S. headquarters is based.
From June 25 through July 4, 2027, more than 10,000 military athletes and officials are expected across North and South Carolina. Invitations have gone to 142 nations, and Charlotte is at the center of it all. It’s the first time the Games have been held in the United States.
Behind the scenes, we’ll be delivering recruiting, HR, payroll, and bookkeeping for the Games’ organizing team. That means helping recruit and support the workforce, and running the payroll and bookkeeping that keep operations moving. Bringing it all together through one partner frees the organizers to focus on the Games themselves.
Our appointment connects two things we care about: growing internationally, and building something lasting here in Charlotte.
James Orsini, U.S. Chairman of Factotum, said:
“Charlotte is the foundation of our U.S. business. We are here to build lasting relationships, contribute to the region’s growth, and support the organizations shaping its future. This partnership puts that commitment into practice.”
The Local Organizing Committee wanted one partner who could take on the essential business services behind the Games.
Ike Belk, Co-Chair of the 2027 Military World Games Local Organizing Committee, said:
“We needed a partner that understood our ambition and could take responsibility for the essential business services supporting it. Factotum’s experienced team and ability to bring recruiting, HR, payroll, and bookkeeping together made them the right fit, freeing our team to focus on delivering an exceptional Games experience.”
We started in the UK in 2020 and expanded into the United States in 2026. This appointment shows what our model can do for organizations operating at significant scale.
James explained:
“Organizations need high-quality teams of experienced operators who can take responsibility, deliver essential services, and help them achieve their goals. That is exactly what we bring: a coordinated team with the experience to turn plans into action.”
Bobby Lane, Founder and Global CEO of Factotum, said:
“This is a huge moment for our global team and a landmark in Factotum’s growth. It also confirms that choosing Charlotte for our U.S. headquarters was the right decision.
“We are proud to be putting down roots in Charlotte and helping deliver an event that will bring the world to the Carolinas. For our team on both sides of the Atlantic, this is an opportunity to show what Factotum can do.”
