The Opportunity:

Join Factotum as a Junior Client Services Manager in Finance and take the next step in your career by leading a team whilst managing key client portfolios. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clients’ outsourced financial operations, from preparing reports to offering insights into their financial status. You’ll have the opportunity to mentor and develop staff while=st ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial regulations.

As a Junior Client Services Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth running of our Finance department, collaborating with both internal teams and clients. Your role will offer a mix of hands-on involvement and strategic oversight, making it perfect for someone looking to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Your day-to-day might involve:

  • Preparing working papers and files, ensuring accurate reconciliation, journal posting, and supporting documentation.
  • Drafting budgets and short/long term cashflows.
  • Completing VAT returns for senior-level review.
  • Preparing management accounts packs for review.
  • Leading weekly cash calls with clients and making payments on their behalf.
  • Ensuring compliance with ICAEW quality assurance requirements and internal financial policies.
  • Writing client process notes and supporting the onboarding of new clients.
  • Communicating directly with clients via email and attending client meetings with senior management.

About you:

You are a motivated individual with at least 3 years of experience in an accountancy department. You have a keen eye for detail and a good understanding of accounting procedures. You enjoy working closely with clients and are looking to expand your experience, potentially working towards a professional qualification or gaining further supervisory experience.

It would be helpful to have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in an accountancy department, with some supervisory experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience working with senior clients.
  • An interest in business development and networking.
  • A desire to continue working towards a professional qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Experience with App stacks such as XPM, Dext, ApprovalMax, Stripe, Shopify, and Cin7 (desirable).
