What got Tony started
Tony excelled at mathematics at school. After perusing the careers guide in 6th form, he decided that he wanted to be an accountant as he was constantly advised it would be an ideal platform for whatever career he decided to pursue in the future.
Tony is excellent at
Listening to business owners’ requirements and managing their expectations.
Thinking outside the box and always responding to clients’ queries in good time especially where they’re time-sensitive.
Considering the tax implications for all commercial decisions. Similarly, when dispensing tax advice, Tony always looks at the broader commercial reality.
About Tony
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with a small firm, Tony joined a medium-sized firm in London and completed his post-qualification experience. He also worked as principal Audit Manager and PA to two senior Partners.
Tony later joined a smaller firm in the West End with Partnership prospects. He was appointed a junior partner and managed a varied and interesting portfolio of clients from different industries. These comprised medical, entertainment (some very well known!), a local firm of solicitors, property-based clients and many trading businesses. In addition, Tony was the Tax Partner for the practice dealing with compliance and client matters.
Tony then acquired his own practice and after a few years, he was approached by a client to assist on a large commercial project, and then decided thereafter to pursue other commercial projects.
Tony has since held a variety of posts including being employed as a financial controller for a recruitment consultancy, charitable trading company, a hotel/property business, a large prominent Jewish charity and latterly, one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of body sprays and fragrances in the UK, supplying national chains and exporting to over thirty countries.
He has now in a sense “returned to his roots” and enjoys assisting a wide range of clients taking away the rigours of compliance whilst they grow their business. Tony deals mainly with SME’s predominantly with accounts and tax issues.
