What got Richard started

Richard fell into recruitment after graduating from university and has stayed in the industry for over 25 years. What began as a first step into the working world quickly became a long-term career built on relationships, competition, problem-solving and the satisfaction of delivering for clients and candidates. Over the years, he has experienced every side of the industry, from the challenges to the highs, and continues to be motivated by the impact successful recruitment can have on both businesses and individuals.

Richard is an experienced recruitment leader with more than two decades in the industry. He has built and managed teams across recruitment and operational functions, combining hands-on delivery with strategic leadership. His role spans business development, client advisory, team management and performance optimisation, ensuring both clients and consultants are supported to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Alongside leading teams of 15+ recruiters and support staff, Richard remains closely involved in the full recruitment lifecycle, maintaining a strong understanding of market conditions and client needs. His approach balances commercial focus with a practical, people-first mindset, helping businesses find the right talent while developing strong, motivated teams internally.
