Emma’s career has been driven by a belief that businesses can be successful while treating people and the planet with respect. From her early work in broadcast PR and magazine publishing, she was drawn to organisations that challenged conventional ways of working and sought to create positive impact alongside commercial success. This philosophy has remained at the heart of her career, shaping her approach to leadership, marketing and business strategy over the past two decades.

Emma has spent almost 20 years running a multi-award-winning creative and media agency built around the principle of doing business differently. Throughout that time, she has helped organisations balance commercial growth with social and environmental responsibility, demonstrating that purpose and profitability can work hand in hand. Her experience spans strategy, leadership, communications and organisational development, giving her a holistic understanding of what it takes to build successful, values-led businesses.
Before founding and leading her agency, Emma worked in broadcast PR and magazine publishing, including editing publications for the media industry and Factotum’s own Bobby Lane. Alongside her commercial work, she is also a trustee of the international conservation charity World Land Trust, supporting the CEO and senior leadership team across marketing and people-related initiatives. Since its foundation in 1989, the charity has helped protect more than one million hectares of land through partnerships with local conservation organisations, safeguarding habitats for species ranging from the Bornean orangutan to the Antioquia chocolate frog. Emma is passionate about helping organisations create meaningful impact through thoughtful leadership, strong culture and sustainable business practices.
Emma is inspired by Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, the founders of Ben & Jerry’s. She admires their pioneering approach to building a successful business while remaining committed to social responsibility, ethical values and making a positive difference in the world.
