Our client is a leading technology organisation delivering advanced data, AI, and software solutions to complex enterprise environments. They are looking to recruit a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join an established Palantir Foundry estate and work directly with business, product, and data teams to deliver high-impact technology solutions.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of delivery, from discovery and data integration through to production-grade decision tools and applications. Working hands-on across Palantir Foundry and AIP, you will combine strong software engineering expertise with business understanding to deliver scalable, auditable, and maintainable solutions.
This is a highly autonomous role suited to an engineer who can operate with minimal management overhead, lead engineering teams, and work directly with senior stakeholders to identify and deliver the highest-value opportunities.
Core Responsibilities
End-to-End Delivery
- Own delivery from discovery and scoping through to hands-on development, production release, and change management
- Deliver solutions across data integration, data modelling, ontology, operational workflows, and decision tools
- Work across an established Foundry estate supporting multiple business use cases
- Ensure solutions are production-ready, scalable, maintainable, and appropriately governed
Engineering & Technology
- Develop production-grade solutions using Python, Spark, and TypeScript
- Work extensively with Palantir Foundry and AIP
- Design and develop ontologies, data models, operational workflows, applications, and decision-support tools
- Deliver agentic and GenAI solutions, incorporating evaluation, observability, governance, and MLOps
- Apply strong software engineering principles throughout the development lifecycle
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work directly with C-suite executives, product leaders, data teams, and business stakeholders
- Translate business challenges into practical technical solutions
- Identify opportunities where technology and AI can deliver the greatest business value
- Communicate effectively across both technical and non-technical audiences
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead engineering teams on high-visibility projects from inception through to production
- Work collaboratively across business units and technical disciplines
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy and take full accountability for delivery
- Support the adoption of agentic AI to enhance the speed, quality, and output of operators and teams
